May Data Science meetup: Inclusion & Bi-Temporality in Databases

Details
We are very happy to welcome you again to a new Data Science Luxembourg event!
As for our previous meetings we usually head for drinks and food together after! And more important than anything: we are looking for speakers. If you think you have something interesting to say around data or applied science, big data or computer science - please reach out!
Two talks for May:
How to develop girls computer science skills without computers, by Régine Poussin
When it comes to computer science, both girls and boys are equally gifted and talented. Nevertheless, computer science workshops and tutorials attract more boys than girls. In this workshop, you will learn how to develop your daughter’s, goddaughter’s, sister’s or even niece’s computer science skill without her even noticing. With beads, colour pencils or just simple rules, you can start a game that will entertain her and make her discover the digital world in a new way.
Bi-temporality: Handling truth in databases, algorithms and life, by Daniel Michulke
With the help of examples from programming, statistics and the real-world, we will analyze truthful statements and discuss how they affect the design of your database, your technical reports, the choice of your programming language and even the choice of your friends.
Recommended for people who deal with programming, databases, statistics or with an interest in philosophy.
