A powerful and emotional dance production for TanzLuzern, a sound collage that interweaves newly composed beats with the Bernese singer-songwriter's still-topical chansons, was created. Choreographer Muhammed Kaltuk created "Hemmige," a piece that uses fast-paced dance to bring key questions of our society to the stage as a striking parable: Two different worlds confront each other, one significantly more privileged than the other. A person from the first group struggles for acceptance by the second, but remains caught in the tension and experiences how powerful social barriers can be.
