Y Walk Wednesdays: A Walk on the Wild Side, the Kirby Park Natural Area

Explore the natural and wild wonders of the park's riparian forest, just across the river from downtown, and learn about the important role it plays as part of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Urban Forester Vinnie Cotrone of the Riverfront Parks Committee leads this walk.
This will be a two hour plus Y walk and cover some muddy ground. Bring walking shoes and bug spray!
Walks are cancelled in heavy and persistent rain or heat over 95 degrees. Please call the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA at 570-823-2191 if you have any questions if the walk is being held.
