Chinese Paida Lajin is a traditional therapeutic practice that involves slapping (Paida) and stretching (Lajin) the skin to promote health and well-being. It is rooted in ancient Chinese medicine and is often associated with the principles of Qi (energy) and blood circulation.

  1. Paida (拍打): Paida refers to the act of slapping the skin with one's hands or various tools, such as a slapping paddle, to stimulate blood circulation and energy flow within the body, which can help remove toxins and blockages, leading to improved health.
  2. Lajin (拉筋): Lajin involves stretching the body's tendons and muscles, typically through various poses and positions. This practice is believed to help release stagnant energy and promote better circulation.

By applying the techniques of slapping and stretching, the body's self-healing mechanisms are activated, resulting in better overall health. The class is an introduction of the techniques and theories with certain practise.

The class will be primarily carried out in English but the host can answer and explain in French if needed. A yoga mat or a towel is suggested however ain't it nice and pleasant to let the nature be our studio and mat?
