Session: Down the Memory Hole - Retention in M365 -Dylan Hayes

We all need to forget things sometimes, and organisations are no different. So given that remembering things is important, why is it also so important to forget?
In this talk we'll be examining why it is vital for organisations to both keep and delete information by introducing the concept of a document lifecycle. We'll then start to explore some examples, and considering the tension that often exists between competing demands within the business.
Having established the reasons why, we'll move onto the "how", and look at how we can get Microsoft 365 to do much of the work for us with some demos.
