Open Source Development: Myths, Misconceptions, and Realities
As an open source developer, I have experienced firsthand the thrill of making contributions to the world of free and open-source software. I have also faced my share of challenges - including balancing my passion for open source with the demands of a full-time job, avoiding burnout, and navigating the complexities of building and maintaining a thriving community around my project.
In this talk, I will share my journey as an open source developer and offer insights and advice on these topics.
Whether you are a seasoned pro or just starting out, this talk is for anyone who wants to learn more about the exciting world of open source development.

Don’t Trust in Code from Strangers
The Open Source world is wonderful, but it also means that we often rely on code from strangers. As developers, we may not be aware of the latest news about hacker groups and attacks. In this session, we will see how to integrate security tools into our research process by using the Open Source Overlay Extension, a browser extension that helps us make secure decisions with no effort.
