Prepare for Adventure!

You’ve planned a backpacking trip or a climb, ride, paddle or bike that began at a distant trailhead, right?  Part of your preparations might have included booking an accommodation near the start of your planned route, or taking a flight to a nearby airport and hiring a shuttle or renting a vehicle.  Sometimes, getting a good night’s sleep prior to launch let’s you begin with a bang, so you absorb the expense as part of your R&R budget. All part of the prep, right?

You probably review your gear and check out updated versions of the basics occasionally: packs, tents, stoves or sport-specific items - paddles, wheels, pro, helmets.

AG!  Expedience pays off when you put yourself in situations out of the normal realm. Of course, cost can be an issue for many of us, understanding that the cheapest piece of gear can let you down or even put you at risk, so we look for the best value.

Sure, gear is critical to successful outdoor pursuits, but you know that skills are just as important. Do you feel prepared to respond effectively if you encounter a medical emergency in the backcountry?  Have you given any thought to learning the techniques that could save your behind(or that of someone else)? Maybe you’ve looked at a WFA training and thought, “Hmmm, can’t afford that,” or “Nah, I could get a down puffy or half of a good bag with those $$.”

Peak Skills WFA training is a great value. Ask around. Give it some thought.  Then check out these offerings:
