Come and learn to skate for roller derby, with a view to one day being able to transition into a team nearby when you're ready, or just stick around and skate with us for fun!
This group is just starting out and is for people that want to give roller derby a try but may not be able to travel as far as Manchester to attend a beginner session.
We have tonnes of experience in welcoming newbies into the sport and so we'll be cultivating a safe space where everyone is welcome and feels included. Before you skate with us we will be making everyone sign a waiver and code of conduct.
NB: The use of correct chosen pronouns will be emphasised and used for everyone but we will be adopting a default of "They/Them" Pronouns for anyone who's gender we aren't 100% certain on and expect others to do the same.
As we're just starting out it's a BYOS (Bring your own skates - and safety gear!) situation.
There'll also be a small charge just to cover the cost of renting out the hall.

Here's what you'll learn while skating with us
This group is just starting out and is for people that want to give roller derby a try but may not be able to travel as far as Manchester to attend a beginner session. We are not affiliated with any team but once your skills improve we can direct you towards external games and teams who will be looking for people to join.
We have tonnes of experience in welcoming newbies into the sport and so we'll be cultivating a safe space where everyone is welcome and feels included. Before you skate with us we will be making everyone sign a waiver and code of conduct.

Sessions are £12 each. We are a non-profit organisation. All payments cover the cost of renting the hall, achievement patches, stamps & stamp cards, insurance and sports equipment.
