MLAI August Meetup — Haytham Fayek on Will Deep Learning Lead to AI?

In this talk, Haytham will ask if deep learning will lead to AI? and attempt to answer this question by touching on the role of deep learning in various aspects such as learning, perception, attention, memory, reasoning, etc.

Haytham Fayek (http://www.haythamfayek.com/) is a PhD Candidate at RMIT University. His research is focused on deep learning and neural networks. Prior, he was an intern at Facebook and spent a few years in the engineering consulting industry. He received an MSc in computational intelligence and a BEng in computer systems engineering and control engineering.
