See all- Machine Learning Meet Up with Millennium ManagementMillenium Management, Dublin 2
What a way to kick off the summer. Join us for a Summer Machine Learning Meet Up on June 23rd at 6:00PM at Millennium Management’s office in Central Quay (Just beside Brew Dog). Millennium Management is a global alternative investment company operating at the cutting edge of technology and finance. Millennium have some exciting plans and recently expanded its presence in Dublin, which has become a key technology hub for the firm.
Paolo Aloe, Global Head of Operations, Middle Office and Corporate Technology at Millennium, will provide an overview of technology at Millennium and how the firm’s size, scale and operating model helps enable teams to identify the most promising use cases for GenAI.
Pat Lenihan, Dublin Infrastructure Team Lead, at Millennium, will present on “Agentic AI Shaping Investment Management” where he will discuss innovative AI frameworks including natural language SQL querying, multi-step research agents, and cross-model LLM standardization techniques.Research Fellow at ADAPT Centre, Yasmin Moslem, will present her recent research that tackles the challenge of deploying large audio-language models in production, “Efficient Speech Translation through Model Compression and Knowledge Distillation”. This work employs a combination of iterative layer pruning, quantization, and knowledge distillation to achieve high levels of model compression while retaining the quality of speech translation.
And finally, Machine Learning stalwart, Awais Akbar, PhD Researcher, at the ADAPT Centre will present his very timely research on simulation-based development of Proactive Intelligent Personalised Agents (PIPAs) — AI agents designed to act on a user's behalf in a proactive and personalised manner. He will introduce a simulation-based framework that enables the creation, testing, and refinement of these agents, and explain how human-in-the-loop methods are used to build and adapt personalised user models.
It will be the usual great mix of fascinating talks, great networking opportunities and chat. Spaces for this event are limited to 40 so please book early.
