Besides the main event also a practical hands-on workshop will take place.
Registration HERE: https://www.meetup.com/Machine-Learning-Meetup-Kosice/events/304283760
During this workshop, participants will gain valuable skills in setting up, deploying, and utilizing large language models (LLMs) locally on their own devices, allowing them to harness the power of these models without relying on cloud services for various applications.

Speakers and Topics:

  • Renáta Ujháziová (Gen AI CoE Lead CIC IBM Slovakia, Certified Data scientist) - Traditional AI versus GenAI (14:10-14:40)

Join us for an engaging presentation on the fascinating world of artificial intelligence! We'll dive into the key differences between traditional AI and the revolutionary generative AI (GenAI). Learn how traditional AI solves tasks, while GenAI creates new content and accelerates processes. Get ready for an inspiring discussion about the benefits and challenges these technologies bring.

  • Laura Bachňáková Rózenfeldová, Zoltán Szoplák (UPJŠ Košice, Researchers) - AI in Legal Research (14:50-15:20)

The presentation discusses the possibility of the use of AI, specifically machine learning methods, in legal research. The growing availability of data in the form of judicial decisions or decisions of other state authorities, including contractual agreements, introduces the need to implement methods that help legal experts to better understand the law and its continuous development. In this regard, we will provide specific case studies where machine learning methods were successfully implemented to analyse legal text to identify, e. g., the emerging decision-making practices of competent authorities. We will also demonstrate several approaches for document retrieval, information extraction and anomaly detection using a mix of statistical techniques and transformer-based language models. These methods aim to save time, effort and resources for legal experts while uncovering patterns in court decisions that open new research avenues in the area of law as well.

  • Fabian Süßmann (IBM Consulting, AI Solution Architect) - GenAI use cases in legal tech (15:50-16:20)

GenAI is reshaping industries, and the legal sector is no exception. This session will explore how GenAI technologies are poised to revolutionize judicial workflows, from drafting legal opinions to analyzing case law and enhancing access to justice. We will discuss practical opportunities and critical risks.

  • Štefan Bocko (CIC IBM Slovakia, Application developer) - Mastering GenAI in Production (16:30-17:00)

The session will uncover valuable lessons learned from a wide range of GenAI projects successfully deployed in production for our clients. Attendees will gain insights into best practices, strategies for overcoming common challenges, and actionable recommendations for successfully productionizing GenAI solutions within their organizations.

  • Gregor Resing (IBM, Germany) - Leveraging genAI assistants to support software development process (17:30-18:10)

The software development process can be supported by role-based genAI assistants. IBM Consulting Advantage (ICA) provides a platform for assistants using different large language models (LLMs) for the different project roles. ICA support the product owner, requirement engineer, IT architects, developer, tester, and other project roles with specialized genAI assistants. In this presentation we will demonstrate the use of ICA assistants in different automotive projects.

  • Daniel Buchta (Aricoma Slovakia, Quantum Solutions Officer) - Quantum-Ready AI (18:20-18:50)

This presentation is dedicated to the intersection of Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Physics. You will learn how quantum computers surpass the limits of today’s technologies and discover the possibilities arising from the fusion of these disciplines, shaping the technologies of the 21st century.
