Talk #1, Michael Li, Manager of Data Science @ Intact Data Lab - Data Science in the Call Center
Call centers are a crucial component of an insurance company, serving as the frontline for our interactions with customers. Due to the high volume of calls that are received, it is not feasible to manually audit every single call to understand why our customers call and whether we are maintaining a consistent level of customer service. The application of NLP techniques has supercharged the call quality auditing process and enabled much easier extraction of insights from call data.

With advances in LLMs, there is another leap forward for how organizations manage their call centers. In this talk, I will discuss how call centers use data science and the transformation towards an omnichannel "contact center" of the future that encompasses more than just calls. With examples from our work at Intact, I will highlight how data science and AI can enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Talk #2, Brad Micklea, Founder & CEO at Jozu - Stop Getting Stuck Between Prototype and Production

Most AI projects stall between prototype and production. Teams know they need security checks, lineage tracing, deployment policies, and incident response capabilities - but implementing these manually creates months of delay and cross-team dependencies.

This talk will show how to automate the security, policy, and auditing gates that typically block production deployment. You'll see how existing standards (OCI artifacts, policy-as-code) can eliminate manual reviews while actually improving traceability and compliance. The result: faster deployments with better governance.
