18.30h Bienvenida y recepción
19.00h #oneJourneyWiser, por Carlos Herrero, VP of Data & Research en Cabify.
Cabify is now the most diverse Mobility as a Service platform in most of the markets where it operates: we support ride-hailing with black car and taxis, and asset sharing with motorbikes, kick scooters and electric bikes in over 70 markets across Europe and Latin America. Data & Research team’s mission is to fill up the organisation with more and more automatic decision-makers that learn from data generated by our previous decisions, thus making sure every journey we are #oneJouneyWiser.
Our automatic decision-makers tackle problems occurring in other businesses, such as fraud control, marketing optimisation or the usage of AI to improve customer support experience but also some problems more unique to mobility such as real-time dynamic pricing in a two-sided marketplace and real-time assignment of riders to drivers.
19:45h Machine Learning @ Startups, by Ron Potok, Lead Data Scientist at Clarity AI, Madrid.
Through my journey of 4 startups in San Francisco and one in Madrid, I’ll provide some general learnings and specific examples of how to find startups with interesting data science value propositions. I’ll describe how, at an early stage agricultural startup, we developed a model that, from anonymized data of only 5 initial customers, generalized to hundreds of future customers. At another startup focused on lending, I’ll describe how we were able to quickly and efficiently expand into markets that other lenders ignored. Finally, I’ll describe how we are using machine learning at Clarity to transform social impact data into actionable insights.
20:30h Networking
¡Os esperamos a tod@s!
