What we're about

“Agile” is an overloaded word that may mean:

• a movement

• a community

• a mindset

• values

• principles

• practices

Other popular/common terms under the agile umbrella are: Scrum, Kanban, Lean Thinking, Systems Thinking, Complexity Theory.

“Agility” is less ambiguous and essentially is the ability to respond to change effectively.

Who should join this meetup?

Anyone who knows there is a better way of working inside organizations and wants to take steps towards realizing that potential… AND, CEOs, senior managers, leaders who want to create and sustain an agile organization and a more productive workplace - ultimately, to delight their customers.

Advanced Facilitation for Agilists

Link visible for attendees

The goal of facilitation is to create the conditions for individuals and teams to thrive—both in the moment and over time. This goal challenges us to stretch beyond the idea that facilitation is just about creating agendas, implementing structures, and keeping things on track. So, how do we level up our facilitation to achieve this goal?

Darin Harris and Barry Henrichs invite you to join them in a conversation about advanced approaches to facilitation for Agile teams and organizations. We will discuss a holistic approach for creating the conditions that not only achieve meeting objectives but also improve the health of participants, build the effectiveness of teams, and cultivate creativity and innovation in the culture. This discussion will include specific guidance for applying this approach as well as examples from high-performing organizations. As the conversation unfolds, audience members will be invited to participate with their thoughts and questions as we jointly explore this broader definition and application of facilitation.

Darin Harris is co-founder of Living Giving Enterprises, an organizational and leadership development company. An expert in organizational consulting, he has been practicing and teaching facilitation for over 25 years with clients in local, state, federal, and international public sector, non-profit, and private, for-profit organizations.

Barry Henrichs is an independent Agile Coach who has specialized in developing high-performing teams for more than 10 years. He has coached scores of teams across organizations in the healthcare, finance, technology, and manufacturing sectors and has facilitated hundreds of events, from small team meetings to 50+ team big room planning events.
