Sweet Treat Packing for Birthday Bags

Looking for a simple way to give back, meet great people, and have a fun evening?

Join us for a candy bag packing night at the warehouse, with The Happy Birthday Project!

Every year after Halloween, generous families across Calgary donate leftover candy through our “Switch Witch Program.”

That candy is then used all year long to create special birthday treat bags for children in our program, helping make birthdays feel extra special for kids who may otherwise go without.

Now we need YOUR help turning all those donations into birthday magic!
We’ll be sorting and filling candy bags based on dietary needs, including:

• Nut-free
• Vegan
• Halal
• Kosher
• Regular/no restrictions

This volunteer night is:
~ Easy and hands-on
~ Perfect to do with a friend
~ Great for parents and youth (ages 12+)
~ A fun way to meet new people while giving back

No special skills needed, just a willingness to help and have a good time! Every bag packed helps a child celebrate their birthday with treats to share, enjoy, or use in loot bags with friends.

We’re hoping for up to 12 volunteers, so grab a friend and come make a real impact in a simple but meaningful way.

Because every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.
