Volunteers Needed for Neighbour Day

# Volunteer with us on Neighbour Day at our Block Party!
Our Neighbour Day Block Party is on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at our Made by Momma Resource Centre in West Hillhurst.
This is an annual event that can't happen without the help of our awesome volunteers!
Volunteers are needed to:
- Set Up & Tear Down
- Help with the Bake Sale
- Help with the Yard Sale
- Face Painting Station (for the artsy peeps!)
- Help oversee the activity stations / bouncy houses
Skills Needed:
• Ability to work independently but take direction from multiple leads
• Friendly & Outgoing - it's a party!
• Dependable and committed to your scheduled shift
• Able to lift, carry and move items (up to 50 lbs)
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with and follow the direction of the team lead(s)
• Ensure your designated area is well organized and kept tidy
• After this volunteer shift, clean up includes general clean up, wiping counters, sweeping the floors, taking out the garbage and recycling, etc.
• Other related tasks as needed
• Please bring a refillable water bottle, wear comfortable shoes and appropriate outerwear suitable for inclement weather
PLEASE NOTE:
* The street will be blocked off at 9am - please park on the surrounding streets in the neighbourhood.
* You must sign in, read, agree and initial the Notice of Risk form at the Resource Centre / Kitchen Building before starting your volunteer shift AND sign out at the end of your volunteer shift!
