Clothing Pop Up Shop - INVENTORY SORTING & ORGANIZATION

Do you love to shop? Are you compassionate, organized, and looking for a new volunteer opportunity with Made by Momma?

Our new Clothing Pop Up Shop is located in the offices at our Warehouse location in the NE. Moms who are currently receiving or have recently received support from Made by Momma are invited to come and shop for women's clothing, shoes, and accessories. This is such a special venture, as we encourage Mommas to focus on themselves for just 45 minutes, and for many, it's their first opportunity in a long time to receive new (to them) clothing, shoes that fit properly, weather appropriate outerwear, or maybe a fun purse, scarf or pair of earrings. The best part is, Moms get to choose what they need the most!

An important piece of the Pop Up Shop, is keeping the shelves and racks fully stocked. With 20-30 Moms shopping some days, that can mean a LOT of clothing going out the door!
This volunteer opportunity is for those who are interested in helping us organize inventory by type, size, season etc. Some items go immediately onto the racks and shelves in the shop, while others will be packed away until they're needed.

SKILLS NEEDED
•Organized and detail oriented
•Ability to work independently and take direction
•Dependable and committed to your scheduled shift

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Liaise with team lead regarding what need to be sorted and where they should be placed
•Sort, fold and organize items
•Note which shelves and racks are in need of replenishment, and restock inventory as needed
•Ensure inventory is well organized and all areas are kept tidy
•Wipe, sweep and clean up work areas at end of shift
•Other related tasks as needed

• You must sign-in, read, agree and initial the Notice of Risk form prior to starting your volunteer shift AND sign-out at the end of your volunteer shift!

• If you can not attend the full shift, please email Cameo BEFORE you RSVP, and discuss whether your time available will work with the day's schedule. If you RSVP, and your availability changes, please be sure to change your response to NOT GOING. This will allow us to plan accordingly, as well as open your spot for another volunteer.
