What we’re about
This is a place for folks to connect with other drummers, dancers, and hoopers in the Madison WI area and beyond.
No experience necessary. It is all for fun. Our community drum circle is free and open to all. In our drum circle we have no goal or destination. There is only the experience of the process, arriving in each moment. We are here to improvise and release and take the energy that will create balance in our lives. We will use this playful, expressive and energetic environment to collaborate to create music as a community.
We will be posting events for group drumming circles, drum and bonfire campouts, workshops, classes, Burning Man, and other related things. You should be getting NO spam. If you do, please inform the organizer immediately.
Posting of events is restricted to events hosts and organizers. If you have an idea for a gathering, please let one of us know.
You can also post your ideas for events and meets on the discussion board.
The group will grow as more people find out about it, so please ask your friends to join the group too!
***At most meets we will have extra drums or hoops available if you don't have one, if your drum needs tuning, or major help, we can steer you in the right direction.

There is no charge for this event - but donations are requested to Bike the Barns... A cycling fundraiser that brings over 1,000 people together each year to celebrate local farms, enjoy delicious food, and build community support.

After we eat, we'll gather in circle to reflect, relate, and reweave. Through guided conversation and honest listening, we'll reflect on what's beginning to take shape, what's still unclear, and what may need new soil, more light, or deeper tending. This is our space to speak from the heart and tend the field together.7:30 pm

Attuning Our Hearts
We'll close the evening with our beloved Supersonic Soul Circle leading us in Kirtan - Kirtan or Kirtana (Sanskrit: कीर्तन; IAST: Kīrtana) is a Sanskrit word that means "narrating, reciting, telling, describing" of an idea or story. It's a beautifully soulful live musical adventure, spanning the spectrum of emotions and intensities, with mindfulness. We will call to you with our musical ideas and invite you to respond in whichever way moves you. Meditate, sing, play, and dance the names of the divine within yourself and in our circle. Our approach to Kirtan is modern, with playfulness, intentionality, and improvisation as major themes.Full Event Details + Ticket Link:
