Please join us on Sunday, June 28, 2026, for our eighth annual outing to American Players Theatre in Spring Green!

The play is "The Matchmaker," written by Wisconsin native Thornton Wilder -- he was born in Madison in 1897. According to APT's preseason guide, "every soul in this story is looking for someone to love, but their collective cupid-compass is pointing in all the wrong directions."

If you want to carpool with the group, we'll be meeting in the parking lot of Monk's (8313 Murphy Dr, Middleton, WI) at 2:45 pm so that we can depart promptly at 3:00. It's about a 45 minute to 1 hour drive to the theater in Spring Green.

If you prefer to drive on your own, you can meet us in the picnic area at the theater at about 3:45 or 4:00.

Picnicking is an integral part of the APT experience, and we'll be doing a potluck picnic before the show. We will have one or more small American flags to mark the location of our picnic table.

The show starts at 6 pm. We should be back in Middleton by about 10:30 or 11:00 pm.

You can purchase your tickets directly from the box office. If you want to sit near other members of the group, some of us will be in row E in section 6 (audience side right).

For more information about the play and the theater, please visit the American Players Theatre website, which is https://americanplayers.org/.
