INTRO Pickleball at McGaw Park in Fitchburg
Details
ABOUT THIS INTRO EVENT
This is a make-up event for the people who were signed up for the Sun. April 16 meetup that got cancelled due to horrible weather.
It's an Intro session. (See description below.) It’s for people who are trying to figure out if they’d like pickleball. (Spoiler: Yeah, you will!) Balls will be provided. The only equipment you’ll need is your paddle and tennies! (Don't have a paddle and aren't sure you want to shell out until you know if you'll like the sport? Show up anyway, and we'll lend you one just to get you hooked.)
If you don't know Thing 1 about pickleball, don't worry; we'll start at Thing 0 (which is: "The purpose of pickleball is to have fun!").
Don’t sign up for more than one Intro session. After you’ve done one, you’d be bored silly at a second; move on to the Novice level next.
We’re serious about the RSVPs. Do show up if you said “Yes” and don’t if you didn’t. If it turns out you can't make it, change your RSVP to "No" in case there's anyone on the waitlist.
CANCELLATIONS
If the weather looks iffy, we'll send a go/no-go message at 2:00 to everyone on the RSVP list. (The Madison Pickleball home page describes our criteria for cancellation.)
