What we're about

This is a group for people interested in the vast array of roleplaying games that are out there, waiting to be discovered. We meet on Tuesday nights at Noble Knight Games in Fitchburg, WI, and the 3rd Saturday of every month at the Hawthorne Branch Library. Hope to see you there!

This includes roleplaying games such as...

  • Traveller, Pendragon, Savage Worlds and Call of Cthulhu, and many others
  • Previous editions of D&D and retro-clones like Old School Essentials, Labyrinth Lord, Swords & Wizardry, and others, like Beyond the Wall and Torchbearer
  • Story games, such as Powered By The Apocalypse and FATE
  • (...if you are interested in games with organized play, such as D&D 5e, we encourage you to join the Adventurers League and similar groups!)

Mask Policy: We continue to recommend masking, given recent developments with Covid. Hopefully, this will provide a greater sense of safety during game nights. There will be masks available for you to use, if you did not bring one to gaming.

Tuesday Night Roleplaying

Noble Knight Games

Tuesday nights feature campaign games open to new and recurring players. Feel free to show up and join in! Socializing between 6-6:30pm, campaigns start after that and go 3-4 hours. Hope to see you there - we've put together a Google calendar that should allow you to keep track of upcoming events:

For the Winter season - January to April:
Adventure in the Oldenlands (Rules: Old School Essentials).
You and your fellow adventurers were enticed by the colorful tales of the vast, uncharted expanse of the Oldenlands just beyond the town of Vanguard. You've heard cautionary tales of menacing monsters and deadly dangers, certainly, but also wondrous tales of ancient ruins filled with treasure ripe for plunder and of arcane secrets waiting to be discovered. GM: Spencer O'Rourke
The Spinward Marches (Rules: Classic Traveller)
Seek your fortune on the edge of the Imperium, trade cargo on the grey and black markets, explore strange worlds the Scout Survey avoided, elude mind-reading Zhodani spies, and possibly help the Empire avoid collapse!
Forgotten Realms (Rules: AD&D 2nd Edition).
Giants causing disturbances, the corruption of the Lord of Waterdeep, rising corpses coming out of grave sites, and dark mutterings of an evil cult disturbingly close by. Such times call for adventurers willing to risk themselves to end the darkness and champion all that is good and worthwhile — only time (and valiant effort) will tell if they can succeed. GM: Aurora Zurkowski.
Savage Alliance (Rules: Savage Worlds) Brian Wakeham will be there to share the system and the genres that can be played. Brian says: "We’re leaning to Rippers (Victorian themed with all the classic monsters) world for starters but can always consider other options depending on interest. I will bring most of books so people can check out."
Seasons last 4 months; the Winter season will go from January through the end of April.
New GMs wanted! Talk to Victor on Tuesday nights at Noble Knight, or leave a message here.

3rd Saturday Traditional Gaming

Madison Public Library: Hawthorne Branch

Monthly Special Event: Doomground (Rules: Original D&D). Hundreds of years ago, Doomground was the site of the last cosmic battle between Law and Chaos. With the adherents of Chaos and their minions defeated, the land has been quiet since then - or maybe not! Play the game as it first played, almost 50 years ago. (Referee: Victor Raymond)

This event was suggested at the January MadTradGamers Meet'n'Greet. It will be a blast from the past experience, featuring the play style and culture of the original rules.

3rd Saturdays feature one-shot adventures and sometimes campaigns open to new and recurring players. Feel free to show up and join in! Socializing *usually * starts between 9 and 10am, adventures are after that and go until 5pm. Hope to see you there!

"The Sky-Tower of Auryndias" - ON HIATUS due to the Doomground adventure (Copies of White Box: FMAG will still be available.)

MASK POLICY: Masking is recommended, given recent developments with Covid. Hopefully, this will provide a greater sense of safety during gaming. There will be masks available for you to use, if you did not bring one to gaming.
