Morning miles at Verona IAT [**Travel Thursday**]

While MTR normally meets at the Arb on Thursday mornings, one Thursday per month (usually the last or second-to-last) is a traveling location. For the fourth Thursday of July, we will meet at an IAT-fan favorite, the Verona segment of the Ice Age Trail, just west of Madison.

We will meet in the Verona Park & Ride off Old PB Rd, adjacent to Hometown USA Community Park. In late July, we will probably have very hot running conditions, so prepare your gear and footwear accordingly. The sunrise will be at 5:40 am, so there is no need for a headlamp.

We will run for about 60 minutes total, with the pace around 9:30-10:30 min/mile. If there is enough interest, we will split into pace groups with at least one group going at a pace >10-11min/mile. Otherwise, we will default to the pace listed above.

The planned route will be an out-and-back on the Ice Age Trail, heading either north or south depending on the group's preference. You are welcome to head back to the parking lot earlier at whichever point of the run you wish if you're looking for a shorter outing on the trails.
