Product Analytics - Use data to drive growth with Lex Roman

Details

About the event:
Nowadays, if there is something that successful companies have understood is how important and relevant data is.

When it comes to talk about data, the way to gather it, interpret it, and make it available to product teams becomes essential for making informed decisions.

The benefits of implementing a data strategy that helps you to formulate hypothesis, validate them, creates a very powerful combination that may help you to achieve your product outcomes and generate the expected impact.

In this session we will be talking to Lex Roman where we will be exploring from a general point of view, touching on how product teams can leverage data to generate impact, to end up having an idea on how data can inform growth.

About Lex Roman:
Lex focuses on the outcome of great experiences rather than the output of design artifacts. Her work is designed to drive key metrics like activation or revenue. As a result, she has deep expertise in product analytics, early stage experimentation, customer research and AB testing — all of which she considers critical inputs to inform design decisions. This is also known as growth design.

She works independently under her own company, Lex Roman Inc. She is available for projects, workshops and coaching.

Before starting her own company, she was the designer focused on growth initiatives at The Black Tux. Previously, sh was the Lead Product Designer at Burner, leading not only growth design but also customer research, product analytics and experimentation. She has worked for Carbon Five, Neo and Kluge helping clients drive up conversion and reach new audiences. Notable clients include Toyota, Nissan, Macys.com, Deloitte, Prosper and Joyable.

In her spare time, she works on the issues of homelessness and housing affordability. She was previously the President of the Board of the SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition and was instrumental in starting a drop-in service day where people can walk in to get showers, food, hygiene products and case management. In her work with the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles, she led a project to educate LA residents about supportive housing. The “Yes In My LA” guide is available online and in print.

She cross-trains in industrial design and business to prepare for a digital future that is not confined by glass rectangles. You can learn more about how she sees user experience design in my talk: "Mise En World."
