Data in the Hot Lane with Apache Druid

Details

Hello, dataengies!

We have another remote event that we hope you'll find as interesting as we do!

This time we will have Peter from Imply talk about one very popular and wide-spread database that we haven't covered in the Meetup yet: Apache Druid.

*** Data in the Hot Lane with Apache Druid ***

Apache Druid is an analytics database that powers fast, fresh, flexible, and fun analytics! Using a temperature scale, this talk describes the “hot” user experiences that Druid is built for, and the business scenarios in which they are required. And with an eye on the history of analytics architectures, we compare Druid to other technologies.

---> Please RSVP so we get an idea of how many of us will be and better prepare the remote session

*** About Peter ***

Peter Marshall (https://www.linkedin.com/in/petermarshallio ) leads the Technical Evangelism team at Imply (http://imply.io/), a company founded by the original developers of Apache Druid. He has 20 years architecture experience in CRM, EDRM, ERP, EIP, BI, Analytics, and others. This time the event will be in English, a ~50 mins talk + demo followed by Q&A. No pizza or beers will be provided, but you can take one or multiple beers or any of your favourite hard liquors from the comfort of your couch!
