ENGLISH
We are delighted to welcome Beth Upton back to Sala Dana for an evening of meditation and Dhamma.
Beth (originally from England) is an internationally respected meditation teacher who spent 10 years as a Buddhist nun, including five years training intensively in Myanmar under the renowned meditation master Pa Auk Sayadaw. She now teaches meditation internationally and is known for the clarity, depth, and warmth with which she guides practitioners.
During the evening, we will meditate together in silence and have time to talk with Beth. This is a unique opportunity to receive guidance directly from a highly experienced teacher and ask any questions you may have about meditation practice or the Buddhist teachings, including:
- the deeper stages of concentration practice (samādhi and the jhānas)
- the Abhidhamma (the Buddhist analysis of mind and matter)
- applying the Dhamma in everyday life
- Beth's own path of practice and teaching
Whether you're just beginning to meditate or have an established practice, this gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen your understanding and practice in a warm and welcoming environment.
The event will be held in English with Spanish translation.
Place: Sala Dāna, c/ Luis Vélez de Guevara, 9 (planta calle, local 2D - right next to the Correos office), 28012 Madrid (Tirso de Molina)
Price: dana (donation)
In the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are offered on a dāna (generosity) basis. We want our activities to remain accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation, so there is no fixed fee to attend.
Please keep in mind that both Sala Dana and Beth's Sanditthika Meditation Community are sustained entirely through the generosity of participants. If you find the evening meaningful and are able to do so, you will have the opportunity to make a donation at the end of the event. Every contribution helps make future teachings possible.
