What we’re about
The Madrid Rebel Philosophy, Politics and Economics Club is a place for people interested in these areas of thought to converse, think and learn with people of a similar persuasion.
Each week we will explore a different topic related to one or more of these three core disciplines. The objective is to prime the meeting with a short introduction to stimulate thought and then to open up to vigorous discussion.
No prior knowledge of Philosophy, Politics nor Economics is required. Anyone with an open and curious mind will be most welcome, as will people of all political persuasions be they liberal, conservative, socialist, anarchist or communist.
Rebel is an important element of the meeting because we consider ourselves to be critical thinkers, and seek to challenge the conventions and intellectual stultification in the contemporary media and political discourse. All views are welcome, but be prepared to defend them.
The meetings will be held in English, and a diverse group of people with different intellectual and national backgrounds will be in attendance.
