Esta noche veremos Cinco horas con Mario, la conocida obra de Miguel Delibes, representada por la Asociación Cultural Pan Pa’Hoy dentro del I Certamen de Teatro Clásico de Chamberí.

🎭 ¿De qué trata? Carmen acaba de perder a su marido, Mario. Durante la noche, mientras vela su cuerpo, comienza a leer algunos pasajes que Mario había subrayado en una Biblia. 📖
Esas palabras despiertan sus recuerdos y poco a poco dan lugar a un intenso monólogo sobre su matrimonio, sus incomprensiones, frustraciones, pequeños momentos de felicidad y todas aquellas cosas que quizá nunca llegaron a decirse. A través de los recuerdos de Carmen iremos descubriendo no solamente a Mario, sino también a la propia Carmen y la complicada relación entre dos personas muy diferentes.

🎭 Es una obra íntima, dramática y muy humana del teatro español.

🎭 Además, la representación forma parte de un certamen teatral y el público puede participar votando por su obra favorita.

La representación es gratuita, pero las plazas son limitadas y no se puede garantizar asiento.

Tonight we are going to see Cinco horas con Mario, the famous work by Miguel Delibes, performed by Asociación Cultural Pan Pa’Hoy as part of the I Certamen de Teatro Clásico de Chamberí.

🎭 What is the story?

Carmen has just lost her husband, Mario. During the night, while keeping vigil beside him, she begins reading passages that Mario had underlined in a Bible. 📖

Those words bring back memories of their life together and gradually turn into an intense monologue about their marriage, misunderstandings, frustrations, small joys and everything that was perhaps never properly said between them.

Through Carmen’s memories, we slowly discover not only Mario, but also Carmen herself and the complicated relationship between two very different people. 🎭

It is an intimate, dramatic and very human piece of Spanish theatre.

🎭 The performance is also part of a theatre competition, and the audience can participate by voting for its favourite production.

The performance is free, but places are limited and a seat cannot be guaranteed.

⏰ Please be there around 20 minutes before the performance. Even arriving early does not guarantee admission, but it should give us a better chance of getting a place together.
