The perfect couple: WebAssembly & Rust

¡Buenos días Rustaceans!

Llevamos un tiempo sin vernos y ya va siendo hora de repasar las últimas novedades de Rust y vernos las caras.

Les invitamos a una nueva edición de MadRust con un repaso sobre las últimas novedades de Rust y una charla de lujo sobre un tema de rabiosa actualidad que ya tardabamos en tocar... ¡WebAssembly!

Primero, José Luis Esteban nos hará un repaso de que ha estado pasando en Rust durante los últimos meses para ponernos al día de las últimas novedades.

Juan hará un repaso a WebAssembly, exponiendo sus cómos y porqués adentrándose en el funcionamiento interno implementado en la gran mayoría de los navegadores.
Continuaremos analizando cual es el rol de Rust en esta tecnología y veremos por qué se llevan tan bien ambas, con demostración en vivo!
Salvador nos enseñará de primera mano un proyecto personal con el que ha estado explorando esta simbiosis entre tencologías, ofreciendo un conjunto de recomendaciones
y viendo algo de código de verdad, una muy buena oportunidad para ver de que es capaz Rust y lo sencillísimo que es aplicar WebAssembly para migrarlo todo a la web.

It has been a while since the last time we met and it is about time we go through the latest developments in Rust and see each other again.

You are being summoned to a new edition of the MadRust meet up with a review of the latest news on Rust as well as a talk on a topic we were long overdue to cover... WebAssembly!.

Juan will review the basis of WebAssembly, exposing it's hows and whys and explaining the keys of the internal details most of the browsers usually implement.
Will continue by analyzing what's the role of Rust in all of this and why both form an excellent partnership, live demo included!
Salvador will show us at first hand a real project he has been working on lately, exploring this symbiosis between these two technologies and offering a set of recommendations.
We could get a glimpse at what a real Rust project looks like and how easy is to apply WebAssembly on top of it to run it in the Web.
