MagentoLeeds - Developer Focused

PLEASE NOTE: Change of venue. This will take place at the Pinpoint Designs offices in Leeds dock. We're about 15 minutes walk from Leeds Train Station (or you can get the water taxi!). Alternatively, there is a multistorey car park across from the office.

We'll be presenting a developer centric meetup this month.

• XML Database Schema definitions in Magento 2.3 (Douglas Radburn)
  Covering the good, the bad and the ugly of how Magento has previously tackled Database schema updates throughout Magento1 and Magento2. This talk aims to provide an overview to a new approach which will be delivered in Magento 2.3. Declarative database schema updates (architected in XML) allow for easier to follow database definitions, and better collaboration between teams.

• Including end users in the build process of the store (Deryck Harlick)

• Asynchronous Programming (Simon Frost)
  After a quick introduction to the basics of asynchronous programming, this talk will show you how frameworks like ReactPHP and AmPHP can take PHP beyond the traditional 'run the script, execute some code and die' paradigm and demonstrate some novel and unique ways that asynchronous programming can be used in your Magento store.
