32nd Swiss Magento Meetup

Our last meetup in 2018 will be dedicated to Progressive Web Applications (PWA). A PWA is a software application, written in the Web platform and running in the browser, that behaves like a cloud-delivered native application. In September 2017 Magento frontend architect James Zetlen announced that Magento is going to become a PWA platform.

At this meetup you will hear from two experienced Magento developers about PWA related stuff. Although it will be a bit technical, anyone is welcome to participate. We will meet at 18:30, presentations will begin at 19:00.

Dmitriy Volik from https://www.ufirstgroup.com will speak about push notifications in PWA. He will give an overview of the push/notification frontend API, what we need to send notifications from Magento, best practices and a small use case. Jisse Reitsma from Yireo will join us remotely. Magento 2.3 introduces a GraphQL API. His talk will focus on what you can do to already start using it, without going 100% PWA. Jisse is also the organizer of Reacticon, a Magento developer conference on PWA and ReactJS. You can learn more about it on https://reacticon.org/. The next one is on October 4 and 5, 2018 in Eindhoven/Netherlands.
