Artificial Intelligence is entering the world of songwriting faster than many writers realise.

Some songwriters are excited about the possibilities. Others worry that AI could weaken creativity or even replace human songwriters.

So what should songwriters actually think about AI?

This session is part of the Magesongs Songwriting Series, a monthly online meetup exploring important topics related to songwriting, creativity and the music industry.
Each session focuses on issues that songwriters face today, presented by award-winning songwriter and mentor Jacques Gentil, founder of Magesongs School of Songwriting since 2002.

TOPIC OF THE MONTH
The AI Trap: Should Songwriters Use AI or Avoid It?

Artificial Intelligence tools are suddenly everywhere in music.

Some writers are already using AI to generate lyrics, melodies and production ideas. Others believe relying on AI may damage originality and creativity.

In this session we will explore:
• what AI tools can actually do in songwriting
• why some songwriters are embracing AI
• why others are strongly against it
• the potential advantages and risks of using AI
• the questions songwriters should be asking themselves

This topic has quickly become one of the most debated issues among songwriters today.
Join us for an open and thoughtful discussion.
