Trance-Formations
Details
When the oracle of delphi pronounced the future for kings and heroes, there was a particular method to it. Her assistants would sing, chant and drum, and she would enter an exctatic trance after huffing the fumes of a sacred volcanic fault where Delphi sits.
Across other cultures, the greatest transformations of a person's soul have consistently *not* occurred in the same bored state where one pays his taxes, but in states of Consciousness far removed from daily life, special trances where anything starts to feel like it could become possible.
Since the ancient times, we have discovered other ways of guiding ourselves and others into these powerful states of mind, from drugs, to yoga, meditation, and even through a special use of language.
Today we will be looking at how to guide others with our language, what language is magical, and what language feels like taxes.
