Wake of the Election is a public mourning of the loss of American democracy, meant to create a powerful visual critical mass. Through public gatherings that resemble a funeral, we express our grief as a visible form of dissent—not a protest, but a call to reflection.

Join us at Echo Park Lake on Sunday, November 17, 2 pm, and help build a wave of similar events across the country, culminating in a mass funeral on Inauguration Day 2025.

This is your funeral—make it your own. Wear black, don veils, weep, mourn, beat your drums, play your song, arrive in a hearse, bring floral arrangements and coffins, and create a personal expression of this collective loss.
