Avant-Garde Performance Art: The Dae Haus Show Open Stage
Details
Date & Time: Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 7:30 PM (Show starts at 8:00 PM)
Location: The Pink Lantern (2400 1st Ave N, Ste 1, Birmingham, AL)
Let’s get together to support Birmingham's wildest grass-roots performance scene! The Magic City Queer Arts group is heading to The Pink Lantern for The Dae Haus Show Open Stage.
Hosted by local favorites Trampsy and Delmar Daystar, this monthly showcase is an explicitly unfiltered, non-competitive "open mic" space built for the strange, surreal, and campy side of performing arts. Instead of standard acoustic sets, you can expect an eclectic mix of experimental poetry, theatrical skits, interactive clownery, drag, miming, character monologues, and burlesque.
Help Us Grow—Bring a Friend!
We are actively working to expand our local creative circle and welcome new voices to the community. Whether they are independent artists, writers, film buffs, or simply folks looking for an inclusive, creative group, please feel free to invite a friend, partner, or colleague along! The more people we bring together, the more amazing projects and collaborations we can spark.
Why This Fits Our Group Perfectly:
This event is a massive home run for our creative circle. It strips away the pressure of standard performance gigs, offering a warm, enthusiastic, and highly inclusive environment for local queer creators to debut fresh material. Whether you just want to sit back and cheer on the acts, or you are a writer, actor, or performer dying to try out a fresh 5-minute bit, this is the perfect space to play. It’s also an incredible spot to mingle during intermissions and spark new artistic collaborations!
