Magical Journey Walks/ Somatic Healing In Nature
Details
Join us for a gentle 60-minute somatic nature walk to reconnect with your body, the season, and your inner knowing.
Each week I’ll offer a few simple prompts while we walk—breath, sensory noticing, and grounding. There will be quiet moments and easy connection.
Theme for this week: The Strategies We Use to Feel Safe
Subtitle:
Recognizing Patterns Without Shame
“Before we can act freely, we have to understand the strategies we use to stay safe.
Most of us learned patterns that helped us belong, avoid conflict, or maintain control. Today isn’t about judging those strategies. It’s about noticing them.”
Adaptive examples:
Overfunctioning
• Fixing
• Explaining too much
• Shrinking
• Competing
• Withdrawing
• Pleasing
• Controlling outcomes
Somatic Prompt
“When I use this strategy, what happens in my body?”
Do shoulders tighten?
Does breath change?
Does heat rise?
Does vision narrow?
Strategies kept us safe. Awareness gives us choice.” Notice,Name,Respond
Sharing is optional. This is a no-fixing space.
Pace is easy to moderate with a few pauses.
Update for this weeks week’s walk:
We’ll end our time together with a community drum circle and rhythmic movement to help us feel our pulse, connect with the earth, and awaken our natural energy. If you have a drum, rattle, or shaker, feel free to bring it.
You don’t have to know how to drum. Just listen, breathe, and let your body find the rhythm.
