The world of AI tools for development is growing faster than we can update our IDEs. We constantly hear about new "magical" ways to work with code, but how do they relate to each other?
During “Teach Your Copilot to Work for You”, we won’t be building complex systems. Instead, we’ll focus on the basics:
- What are Instructions and Prompts?
- Why do we need MCP if we already have a regular chat?
- What are Agent Skills, and how do they differ from Prompts, Instructions, and MCP?
This will be an exploratory journey through the Copilot ecosystem, so you can consciously choose the right tool for a specific task instead of wondering why the AI doesn’t understand you.
Although the examples will be based on GitHub Copilot, the core principles can be applied to any agents that support MCP and Skills.
