What we’re about

OK I'll try my best to put this into words. I've had the idea for this group on my mind for a while now. It's been a dream and vision of mine and now feels like the right time to put it out there into action. I named it "MAHA Young adults" just to give a general idea because a title is so short and doesn't convey everything, but my vision for this is even broader. MAHA refers to "Make America Healthy Again" and there may be different ideas of what this means to different people. So here's what I mean by it.

I want to help build a community of like-minded young people (21+) that can foster friendship in the context of authenticity and shared interests and values. I'm interested in having a healthy lifestyle, with nourishing real foods and staying active. Some of my role models when it comes to this approach: Gary Brecka, Paul Saladino, RFK Jr, and many others. I like to have a holistic diet that is largely animal-based along with fruit and unprocessed dairy. How food is made is equally important to me, so I like to source locally, support farmers, regenerative methods, etc. There's actually no restrictions, I just avoid seed oils, refined sugars, and processed foods. I stick to whole ingredients but I still eat everything I like and as much of it as I want and so far it's resulted in excellent health (going on 3 years this way). I just think common sense, intuition, and historical wisdom are so important when it comes to food for the body. I'm looking for people who want to cook and eat together in this way. I imagine coming together at someone's house for a delicious spread. The table has wooden cutting boards filled with grilled grass-fed steaks, raw cheese, assortment of fruits. Little pitchers of raw honey and slices of freshly baked organic sourdough bread. Super colorful and abundant the way nature intended. Everything cooked in tallow and stainless steel, no plastic exposure nor addition of artificial ingredients. We can talk about the food, share recipes, share ingenious natural ways to make this delicious food taste even more delicious. We can watch the latest Gary Brecka podcast together and discuss our thoughts. I'm also hoping we can stay active and fit together. Not in a vain or empty manner the way a lot of social media portrays it. Even the word "fitness" feels like it has so much baggage attached to it. But I believe with the right foods and active lifestyle, our bodies become naturally fit and healthy and beautiful. Not in a perfectionistic way, just an inspirational way. I hope we can play sports, do cold plunges, go swimming, go dancing, visit farms and farmers markets, go apple-picking, get sun on our skin, etc. And of course, I'm hoping many awesome friendships come of it. People to lean on and support in times of loneliness, sadness, hurt, etc. People to joke around with, be a goofball with, be stupid with. Ya know, regular human stuff that people used to do all the time? I want to keep this group as open and kind and welcoming as possible. I hate cliques, elitism, and egoism. We can respectfully and courteously have differing beliefs and also be good friends. I'm sharing the values and interests of this group to hopefully attract like-minded people who also share these values and interests. I support the MAHA movement, and am excited to be a part of it, and am looking for other people who want to do the same and are committed to health and wellness. I like to walk barefoot on the earth, find raw milk (feels like an underground market for real lol), shoot at the archery range, get better at martial arts, hang out with animals, and spend time around greenery and water. I value character, humility, integrity, patience, understanding, compassion, courage, presence, strength, beauty, mindfulness, "easygoingness", kindness. I really like being around people who can listen fully and genuinely and respond authentically while not taking things or themselves too seriously. Other topics I'm passionate about and would love to discuss with like-minded people: calm parenting, healing wounds, entrepreneurship, homesteading, deep conversations. I'm not a fan of small talk, pop culture news or drama. I appreciate constructive feedback and conflict resolution, but not negativity and judgment. I apologize if this all sounded overly formal, I'm actually a happy-go-lucky guy at heart who likes to be laid and have a good time and memorable adventures, I just wanted to be open about what the group is about. If this resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you! And hopefully share some awesome, fun, chill times while building a support system and learning and growing along the way :)
