Free Haven Farms is a Black-Owned and operated working Farm located in historic Lawnside, New Jersey, home of the Peter Mott House (https://www.petermotthouse.org/).
Our 2025 Summer Workshop Series will take place on site at Free Haven Farms in Lawnside, NJ. Spend a Sunday afternoon with us to learn about various topics related to gardening, agriculture, and science. You'll be able to take a tour of the farm, participate in hands-on activities, meet other like-minded individuals, and take home some free goodies! Space is always limited at our farm, so register now before the event is sold out.
Ticket Price is $50 plus service fee, so $51.25 Total.

Serving a meal to the homeless with Black Philadelphia!
Looking for an opportunity to give back? What better way than to serve a meal to some of Philadelphia's citizens experiencing homelessness? This is the easiest service project, but you must be 18 or older!

Anyone who will be participating must sign up online. You cannot just show up the day of and participate in the meal service. This is a landing page specifically for our group that will show only your reserved shift. PLEASE DO THIS IMMEDIATELY AFTER RSVPING.
This service event is for adults 18 years and older only, no exceptions. Meal service engages volunteers to plate food, walk trays out to guests seated in the dining room, clear dishes when guests are finished eating, and then support with miscellaneous cleaning tasks like wiping tables and filling napkin dispensers.

Dress code
Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops allowed). Volunteers should wear pants and socks and shoes. Hairnets, aprons, and plastic gloves will be provided.Parking
Their FREE PARKING LOT is on the north side of Vine Street West. Cross 13th Street, and make the next right into the parking lot between Roman Catholic High School and the facility. You will see the sign on the gate just before the entrance to the lot. If you hit Broad Street, you’ve gone too far.AGAIN, SERIOUS COMMITMENTS ONLY!
