October Meeting Main Line Writers Group Tues Oct 7 - Carla Spataro
Details
Join us for a special presentation Tuesday, Oct 7, 2025 at 6:30 pm.
"Navigating the World of Small Literary Presses and the Challenges of Being a Debut Author over 60" by Carla Spataro, Director of the MFA program at Rosemont College.
What every writer should know before trying to land an agent or a small literary press (generally no agent required). What is an advance? Will you get royalties? Can you quit my day job? Do you need a publicist? How important is it to have an agent? Should you get an MFA? Carla will share her personal story and journey to publishing her novel and answer questions all along the way.
2025 is our sixteenth anniversary!
Annual membership is $50 and covers a variety of expenses, including website hosting and Meetup administration fees. If you won’t be attending regularly, you may also choose to pay $10 per meeting.
