Join us for a field trip to one of Maine's two green burial grounds, Cedar Brook Burial Ground in Limington. Some of us were really inspired after attending Chuck Lakin's home funeral talks to check it out, as green burial is very much in line with the permaculture ethic of earth care.
We will meet at the burial ground at 4pm. The president of CBBG, Joyce Foley, will give us a brief history of the cemetery, lead us through it and answer any questions that might be asked. We will be free to walk around afterward.
We will head back to Hollis for a 6pm potluck supper at 17 Usher Mill Road.
Please use this space to arrange car pools if you can. You can find driving directions at http://mainegreencemetery.com/driving-directions/.
Don't forget to bring your potluck kit and a dish to share! Please do not bring any foods with peanuts or peanut oil.
Hope to see you!
