Please join us in welcoming Dave Jacke to Maine for this one-day workshop on Edible Forest Gardens. We will examine the vision, theory, design, and practice of creating food-producing ecologies. Lectures, field observations, and experiential exercises will reveal the nature of ecosystem architecture, social structure, underground economics, and succession. Participants will draw conclusions from these experiences, developing practical design principles, practices, patterns, and processes for garden design and management. This is an introductory workshop for gardeners, designers, and students of gardening, ecology, and design. Please note that you are NOT REGISTERED until we receive your course fee. It was terrific in all ways.

The presentation, the organizing of groups, the group exercise, the veggie jumbo, wheatberries, and red slaw, Dave's extensive knowledge.

We were a little squeezed in the barn, but nobody cared!
    (We were dry.)

The workshop really solidified my understanding from a previous Dave Jacke workshop, and filled in some gaps I had.

Loved the entire day. Dave was full of info and able to communicate it easily. Good combination of gardening, humour, and spirituality. The exercise with Aaron's trees gave me hope that I could figure out plant combinations that will work for Tom and me.

It was a joyful day for me, packed with learning from a knowledgeable, wise teacher. I appreciated the fact that Dave's vision is grounded in deep, extensive research as well as in his own life experience and inner work.
