Welcome to the Maitland/Newcastle Sociale Group! This group is for anyone interested in getting to know people through activities I've listed socializing, board games, tennis, running, and games nights, as a starter but I intend to have Zoom meetings to briefly catch up and see what your all interested in and see where we can do activities together, also I never want to go through covid again isolated and would prefer to be amongst friends in it all. Its a great way to meet new friends, improve your skills on the tennis court, or have fun playing board games, this is the perfect group for you. Join us for a variety of activities and events. Join us for a relaxed online board game session where we’ll hang out on Zoom while playing a variety of games together using Board Game Arena.
The goal is simple: have fun, try different games, chat while we play, and keep things casual. Whether you’re experienced with modern board games or completely new, everyone is welcome.
We’ll use Zoom for voice chat and coordination, while all gameplay happens directly in the browser through Board Game Arena — no downloads required for most games.### What to expect
We’ll rotate through a selection of games depending on group size and interest. Possible games include:
- Quick party and social games
- Light strategy games
- Cooperative games
- Competitive multiplayer games
- Easy-to-learn classics and modern favorites
### Basic agenda
1. Welcome & setup (10–15 mins)
- Join the Zoom call
- Make sure everyone can access Board Game Arena
- Quick introductions
- Decide on the first game
2. Main game sessions (1–3 hours)
- Play multiple games throughout the evening
- Rotate games based on player count and mood
- Short breaks between rounds
3. Wrap-up
- Final game or free chat
- Share favorite moments and future game suggestions

### Skill level
Beginner-friendly. Rules can be explained as we go, and most games are easy to pick up quickly.
