Speed Dating for Kiwis who remember when telephones had cords!

We're super excited to share this event with you. Here's what to expect:

Arrive and get comfortable:
Doors open 6.45 pm. Our friendly host will welcome you and check you in. We'll give you a number, and invite you in. The first drink from the bar is on us. Mingle, or relax by yourself for a short time before the event begins.

Dive straight into the action:

• Engaging One-on-one conversations: For this event, we've scrapped the usual icebreakers to instead give you a full 6 minutes with each date! You'll be given a scorecard, as well as a notepad and pen to take note of who you want to see again!
• Stuck for words? Don't sweat it! Each table is equipped with a set of witty and thought-provoking cue cards, designed to ignite deeper conversations and a few laughs along the way. So, if conversation stalls or you just want to mix it up with a new topic, simply draw a card to get things moving smoothly again.

At the end of the night, hand us your scorecard. This serves as a physical backup in case your notes are misplaced! The following day, we'll email you a quick questionnaire where you will confirm your details, decide how you want to be contacted, and fill out who you want to see again.

What to expect:

Slow Dating:

• You'll start the night with a series of small group discussions, before moving into the more traditional series of 1-on-1 conversations that you'd expect at a speed dating event.
• As always, each table has a set of witty and thought-provoking cue cards that encourage meaningful conversation. So, if conversation stalls or you just want to mix it up with a new topic, simply draw a card to get things moving smoothly again.
• You will have 10 mini-dates during the event, mini-dates are about 6 minutes long.
• There will be one 10-15 minute interval after the first 5 mini dates - use them to talk with anyone you want to speak with!

As you go, fill out your match card, and take note of who you want to see again.
The following day, we'll email you a form where you can confirm your details, decide how you want to be contacted, and select who you want to match with!
Daters have 24 hours after receiving this to complete the form, and then we'll be in touch to let you know your mutual matches.
