What’s a Bonenkai?
A Bonenkai is a traditional gathering held at the end of the year to “forget the year.”
In other words, it’s a dinner or drinking party meant to let go of the tough and unpleasant moments of the past year and welcome the new one with a fresh mindset. 🙌🥂

★ Why Shuffle? ★
At parties, it’s easy to find small, attractive groups, but sometimes it’s hard to join them. That’s where the shuffle system comes in! We give everyone a "chance" to connect with others at the WelcomeJapan event.
☆ SHUFFLE TIMES: 8:10pm, 8:45pm, & 9:15pm

What you can experience

• Enjoy Japanese culture Bonenkai
• Meet and talk with many people at the party, thanks to our shuffle system
• Connect with open-minded international people and locals in Osaka
• Play fun games like Jenga, UNO, and cards while drinking
• Get great tips on places to visit, food, travel, and everything you need to know about Japan

🍹 Drinks
Drinks are purchased directly from the venue
❗ The first drink is ¥800, which includes a table charge.
Additional drinks are ¥250 each.
(In Japan, it is common for bars to include a small table charge with the first drink. Thank you for your understanding!)
⚠ Drinks are on a cash-on-delivery basis (pay-as-you-go).
All drink orders should be placed through the event organizer.
The organizer will collect payments from guests and settle the total bill with the venue.
*The organizer does not sell any food or beverages

Start: 7:30pm – End: 10:00pm
・7:30pm - 7:45pm: Sign-up & get your drink
・7:45pm - 9:45pm: Socializing, games, and friendly conversations
Standing style, so you can easily meet and talk with many people

• QR Ticket + Online Prepayment: ¥600 (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, credit card)
• QR Ticket + Pay at Venue: ¥1,000 (Cash or PayPay)
• No QR Ticket (SNS reservation only): ¥1,500 (Cash or PayPay)

About Reservations:
Our community also uses the WelcomeJapan website to issue QR tickets because Meetup Japan does not support multiple online payment methods. Obtaining a QR ticket is optional but recommended. Please obtain your QR code ticket at least 30 minutes before the event starts to help ensure smooth event operations and check-in.
