🎨 About Koi or Carp Flags 🎏 —
Colorful koi glide through the calm waters of a quiet Japanese garden, their gentle movement reflecting soft light.
Above, carp flags sway lightly in the spring breeze.
The scene feels peaceful and nostalgic, like a distant memory.
Capture a balance of stillness and motion—something warm, calm, and quietly magical.

🎏 What are Carp Flags?
Carp flags are traditional decorations flown in Japan to celebrate Children’s Day on May 5th.
Each carp represents strength, courage, and the wish for children to grow up healthy and resilient—just like koi fish that swim upstream against the current.
They are symbols of hope, family, and bright futures carried on the spring wind.

We’re bringing the popular wine and painting trend from the U.S. to Osaka! This is your chance to let loose, get creative, and enjoy some delicious drinks in a fun, laid-back setting. Whether you’re an artist or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome!

No painting experience necessary! We’ll provide everything you need – materials, instructions, and a positive, fun atmosphere. All you need to bring is yourself and a BIG SMILE! 😊

🕖 Event Schedule
Start: 2:30pm – End: 5:30pm
2:30pm - 2:45pm: Sign in, order drinks, and meet new friends
2:45pm - 3:45pm: Introduction & painting time
3:45pm - 3:50pm: Break – Gallery Walk
3:50pm - 5:15pm: More painting time
5:15pm: Gallery Walk and group photo
5:30pm: Event ends

Please note that we need to vacate the event area by 5:30pm, so we kindly ask that everyone leave the venue by that time.

🎫 Participation Fee

1. QR Ticket + Online Prepayment: ¥3,700 (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, credit card)
   *Must be purchased by 9:00pm the day before the event
2. QR Ticket + Pay at Venue: ¥4,700 (Cash or PayPay)

About Reservations:
Our community also uses the WelcomeJapan website to issue QR tickets because Meetup Japan does not support multiple online payment methods.
Please obtain your QR code ticket at least 30 minutes before the event starts to ensure smooth event operations and check-in.
Online prepayment is available until 9:00pm on the day before the event.
⚠ Due to preparation requirements, only participants with a QR ticket can join the event.
