Two (2) Hour In-Person Workshop and Networking Around Bitcoin Basics
This event is designed to help you gain a general understanding of Bitcoin and how to acquire it for yourself; safely, simply, and with real-world context.
Whether you're bit-curious or finally ready to take that first step, this workshop will walk you through the ideas behind Bitcoin, why it matters today, and how to get started.

What to Expect:

Simple, Non-Technical Explanation of what Bitcoin is and how it works
How to Store It: Understand wallets, seed phrases, and self-custody
How to Buy Your First Bitcoin (with live guidance if needed)
Take-Home Resources for further learning and setup
Complimentary Coffee & Tea from a local coffee shop
Casual Networking with other local professionals, newcomers, and advocates
Q&A Session to get questions answered and/or be given direction you can take

*NOTE: Although we will be discussing wallets and cold storage, we will be focusing on using the exchange, Coinbase, as the means to purchase Bitcoin.

**IMPORTANT: This means that if you intend to have Matthew help you in making your first BTC purchase, you will need to ensure you have valid Government Issued ID with you (Passport/Drivers License) for setting up your Coinbase account.
