🎯 Destination: Coastal walk towards Tantallon Castle, East Lothian

OVERVIEW

Join us for a relaxed coastal hike from North Berwick along the shoreline path towards Tantallon Castle. This is a gentle, social walk with plenty of stops for views, photos, and conversation.

We’ll enjoy the sea breeze, Bass Rock views, and coastal landscapes on this easy-paced 2-hour outing.

We will not be walking on the beach because of the tides.

Plan
09:25 AM – Meet outside Costa Coffee, Waverley Station (I will have a Meet-Up sign)
09:40 AM – Take the train from Waverley to North Berwick (~30–35 minutes)
10:10 AM – Regroup at North Berwick Train Station and start walk
Coastal walk towards Tantallon Castle at relaxed pace
1PM – Return to North Berwick town (optional lunch/coffee together before heading back)

Travel
Train: Edinburgh Waverley → North Berwick (09:40 departure recommended).
Driving: Free/paid parking available in North Berwick.

What to Bring
1. Comfortable walking shoes (paths may be sandy/rocky)
2. Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, waterproof jacket)
3. Water / hot drink
4. Optional: snack, camera, binoculars

Facilities: Toilets, cafés in North Berwick before/after the walk
