The HAAS CNC Mill course covers fundamental concepts and skills in computer-controlled machining that will help you build the confidence you need to tackle any project in the CNC Mill.
This course introduces students with a technical background to how to use Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mills to produce prototype parts. An overview of the following topics will be provided: the CNC process, G-code programming, tooling types and materials, feeds and speeds, tool paths, work holding, using offsets, machine calibration, and basic machine operation.

Parts well suited to prototype and short-run production are discussed and used in examples. This track will provide practical knowledge of industry-standard machine operation as well as part modeling to give an extensive overview of how to go from design to production using the Haas CNC Mill.

Students who complete this track will be signed off to use the Haas CNC machine whenever they like as members. This track meets once a week for 6 weeks.
