Learn how to work on your own car and gain access to use the equipment outside of class!

Want to know what’s really going on under the hood? Learn to handle repairs yourself and understand what your mechanic is saying.
This automotive course gets you hands-on with the basics of car maintenance and engine mechanics—no experience required. You’ll learn to safely use professional shop equipment including the auto lift, tire machine, and wheel balancer, and perform basic preventative maintenance on your own vehicle.

You’ll also break down and rebuild small 4-stroke engines to understand how engines work from the inside out. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence to handle basic repairs and better understand automotive technology.
Students who complete this course are signed off to independently use the auto lifts, tire machine, and wheel balancer as members. The class meets once a week for four weeks.
