Urban Assault On Yo Legs 32

Details
This is a mix of a few of my personal favorite rides through Houston and an example of my impatience to wait for them to come around again. This ride starts at the Sawyer Heights Super Target. It loops down and back up in through the Heights area, past the Plumber's Apprenticeship School (pay respects to the new Ghost Bike on Link Rd), into the East side of town where we will ride the three sisters back into downtown. We'll take the Elysian bridge out of downtown, do a quick ride through White Oak Park and then we are done back at Target. There's a few challenging climbs so be prepared. We can't promise this to be a no-drop ride so please come prepared. Bring money, drinks, food, tubes, a pump or compressed air, and anything else you may need if you happen to end up broken and alone. We are going to try to keep our pace at or above 17mph throughout its 32 miles and may have some areas where we spin up higher.
We will not drop someone that communicates with us that they are having problems. If you are feeling overexhausted, dehydrated, cramping up, throwing up, scared of the area we are riding in, or anything else, PLEASE tell us. We will do what we can do accommodate you. I've been dropped plenty of times on group rides (yesterday in fact) and have always found it exciting and motivational. If your views are different and you worry about your health or safety PLEASE let us know.
If youre competitive on Strava, there are 12 segments in this ride.
I will try to print maps and cue cards this week. I will let you know. RSVP asap so I am sure to have enough.
As always, your safety is your responsibility. We will discuss various safety precautions and dangers involved in this specific ride but everything you do should be at your own discretion.
